Public speaking, one of the biggest fear of human beings.
Public speaking is inevitable in modern life. Having good speaking will definitely give a boost to your life.
However, many people are afraid of public speaking since education in Taiwan puts more effort into the main subjects and neglects oral language skills, which often leads to the following situation:

Lack of Confidence
Lack of practice leads to a lack of confidence.

Lack of Logic
The education focus more on recitation than causality.
We can change that from the beginning!
Children from 3 to 6 years old are developing their language skills and it's the perfect time to learn through play.
Many papers show that storytelling is a great way to improve children's oral language skills and brings a ton of benefits:
-
Increase children's willingness to communicate thoughts and feelings.
-
Encourage the use of imagination and creativity.
-
Help children to learn about the causality.
-
Bring a sense of achievement and improve self-esteem.
Challenge
We went to church to hang out with children. Yet, we faced some challenges while tried to teach them storytelling:
-
Children have difficulty coming up with a long sentence, not to mention a whole story.
-
Some children can't read.
-
Children are still learning about abstract concepts.
-
They can be easily distracted.

Solution
-
We come up with plenty of themes and a series of guiding questions so their answers to these questions will become a story in the end.
-
Use vocal questions so children can understand easily.
-
Keep the questions short and simple.
-
To answer the question, we ask them to record, draw, and takes photos. Keep the process entertaining.
-
Combine those recordings, drawings, and photos and turn them into an animated story.
